History of The Royal Gurkha Rifles (RGR)
The Royal Gurkha Rifles (RGR) is a rifle regiment of the British Army, forming part of the Brigade of Gurkhas. Unlike other regiments in the British Army, RGR soldiers are recruited from Nepal, which is neither a dependent territory of the United Kingdom nor a member of the Commonwealth. The regiment’s motto is Better to die than to be a coward.
The regiment was formed as the sole Gurkha infantry regiment of the British Army following the consolidation of the four separate Gurkha regiments in 1994

In honor of 25 years of service of The Royal Gurkha Rifles (RGR), three limited-edition of watches will be available in market from 9th July, 2019. To The limited edition of watches are design by Gurkha Bullion which head office is at Aldershot, U.K and manufacture by British watch manufacturer Accurist whose headquartered in Leicestershire, U.K. To Thank all the Royal Gurkha Rifles (RGR) member and all the brave people who defended our freedom, for your service.
The new models are said to honor 25 years of service by The Royal Gurkha Rifels.
Gurkha Welfare Trust
Established in 1969, we ensure that Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities are able to live their lives with dignity.
We achieve this primarily through the provision of financial, medical and development aid.
Our field arm operates through 21 Area Welfare Centres spread across traditional Gurkha recruiting areas in Nepal as well as one in India. We have around 400 staff working in the region.
In the UK we offer advice and support to help the thousands of retired Gurkhas and their families who choose to settle here.
We Gurkha Watch have decided that 3% profit on sales of Gurkha RGR(Royal Gurkha Rifles) Watch will be donated as the charity for the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
